Ted & Kim,Over the past couple of days my thoughts have only been for you and your family. I cannot tell you how deeply my sorrow is for you. Amanda was just a beautiful person. I am glad that in this life I had the pleasure of being her friend. She is a angel in heaven now. And I would like to thank you for donating her organs, I am also a organ donor and just the thought that she will live on in someone else makes me feel she is still here with us and still helping someone to live. What a great gift she gave to those. She will be missed by so many but there will come a day she will receive you in her arms again. Are thoughts are prayers are with you and your family.Micky & Dale DeLong

Dear Kimberly and Family; You have been and will continue to be in my prayers along with my families. I never met Amanda but she gave my son Michael a ride home from The Univ of Cincinatti when he broke his leg. Much has been said about your strength in God's love during this very sad time, but I know that Amanda is home and sitting next to God talking to him. Some day too, you will be with her and others who love you. Continue to look up to the Heavens and know that Amanda is smiling down at you waiting.Love,Kim Miller and Family

Kim & Family - I remember the first time Amanda had come into my caravan class at church. She was so shy and quite. As I got to know her, I found that she was a kind and sensitive young lady. I grew to love her dearly. I know I have not seen her in years, but every so often I have thought about her and your family. When I saw her picture I realized what a beautiful young lady she had become. My heart was sadden by her passing, but I know that Amanda is in heaven today with God our loving father. I will keep you and your family in my prayers during this time. I know that God has you and your family wrapped in his loving arms.

All of you kids are such a beautiful tribute to my niece. Your loving words and memories of laughter fill my heart with pride. Kim and Family,Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of your beautiful child. An honor long, long ago regarding this child was extended to me for which I have always regarded the request with the utmost respect as well as regret, as I could not readily accept. However distant our paths in this lifetime may have been since, thoughts and prayers have always been in the back of my mind regarding you and your children. When I finally met her briefly last year, I was amazed at what a blessing you had been given and that you had raised. May the Lord provide comfort and peace to you and your family at this time. I am so sorry for your loss.

From The times I shared with Amanda, there are a few things that stick out the most, as I am sure most anyone who knew her will agree. She carried a warm and inviting smile and was always so intriging, to the point that you just wanted to be in her presence. When you were with her, she persistently asked you if you were having fun and if you were not, she made sure that she was doing everything in her power to change that. Amanda enjoyed life the way most of us should. She could turn any random day into a day that you would remember for many years to come. For me, Amanda is a happy reminder too slow down and enjoy all the amazing things life has to offer. Thank you for all of the fond memories, you will be missed dearly as a daughter, a sister, a friend, or just as the warm and inviting aquaintence of a passer-by.

Amanda was a few years ahead of me in high school and i always admired her from afar, i can always remember her walking down the hallways with a smile and a bounce in her step, and i finally got to meet her last summer with my friend chris, we went out to the bar for a night and i remember how the bar was empty and it was just us three clowning around, my first impression of her was that she was such a wonderful fun sweet girl who had a whole lot to offer, i am truly sorry for the loss of amanda, i only had a first and only impression of her but i regret not getting to know her more, she was an angel to everyone here in Hudson, Kent, Akron, Athens, she was an angel to everyone she touched and now she can take her role fully and truly become an angel. she will be missed by many.scott atchison - acquaintance

I knew Amanda through so many people, but i regret the fact that i never really got to know her myself... I was friends with her step sister britta in middle school and she was friends with my sister. Then i dated her step brother tony and became friends with her brothers teddy and michael. I also know her cousin and many of her friends. Through all of these people i got to know amanda, and the few times i spoke with her. She was just so beautiful, genuine smile, bright eyes, and a great personality. what i remember most is just that, her smile and her way of life. Living to the fullest and making the best of every moment. She was the girl you wanted to be around. Amanda was loved by so many, she was a great friend, sister, daughter, and girlfriend. She was the kind of girl you looked at and thought, wow she's perfect! Amanda you will be missed, but you're memory lives on through the lives of all those you've touched.
Regarding Facebook group Miracles for Amanda:
This group was created for Amanda Gartner when she was in the hospital in critical condition... She was 22 and just graduated from Ohio University. Amanda had the greatest friends and family, all of whom will miss her very much. It is with tremendous sadness in my heart that i have to share this news with you. Amanda suffered from a brain aneurism and passed away this past thursday. All of us will miss her very much. This group is now here to recognize all the accomplishments she achieved, to continue to pray for her family, to share memories and photos, and to realize that amanda was a miracle and now she is our angel.

Tears are filling my eyes as I write this. I have told everyone that I have always been so confused about why the good ones have to be taken and so early in life…you, Amanda are a good one who had a truly genuine soul, a beautiful smile, countless friends who always looked up to you and such a passion for life. You were the girl everyone always wanted to be around, teaching us to live to the fullest and making the best of every situation we encountered. Everyone always had something good to say about you and the amazing person you were to us all. I am so lucky to have shared so many memories with you in high school and after. You were the type of friend that I could run into or call throughout our college separations and instantly reconnect. I take comfort in knowing that you are here to guide me through life’s obstacles and joys.

Amanda..Wow where to start. For anyone that does not know who I am, I have been close friends with Amanda since she transfered to OU 3 years ago. We lived together our senior year, which means for about a year straight, I was never seperated from her. I will miss you in a way no words can explain. I miss your smile, your one-of-a-kind laugh(anyone that knows you, knows exactly what im talking about), your greatfullness, and your most profound trait- the ability to accept anyone and anything with NO judgements. And of course our amanda and molly moments. I will even miss the horrible smell of your broccoli that you burnt EVERYTIME you tried to cook it. Amanda you were an amazing friend and always there for me. We had a special bond that no oneelse had. I will keep you close to my heart forever and the memories we have made together will always be vivid. Miss Amanda I love you and Ill never forget you! Stay close, you are now one of my guardian angels.

I only had the chance to meet Amanda once, while I was training her for her job at the homeless shelter last month. She was a gentle soul who radiated love and compassion. Words can't sum up who and what she was to obviously so many people, but I pray you all can pause and reflect on the beauty she shared in life. May our loss be her gain, and may we all meet again in God's loving embrace. Goodbye Amanda, for now. Thank you for your presence in our lives while you were here.
